Personally, I loved the comment today by Becca at the Social Media Breakfast. She mentioned that she felt that Twitter is not what it used to be. She felt it has lost a lot of its effectiveness. She then caught me cheering in the back of the room and pointed me out. <smile>
After that, there were groans. There were also some people complaining on Twitter.
What do you think? Twitter is obviously not dead. But has it lost its effectiveness?

After 20K tweets, you've probably got it figured out. :) At least I hope so.
Comment by Chris Jones on August 24, 2012 at 5:32pm .. whereas I'm using it more and more, for both business and personal. But I'm a guy with 20k spam-free tweets. Maybe I'm not the best baseline :)
Hi Chris. Thanks for commenting. You are the first one to bite on this topic. Yea, I feel the same as I did when I wrote it. I think the whole Twitter thing is a waste of time for many. For some, it makes a lot of sense. And at times, I jump on and enjoy the conversations. But for now, I seldom spend time there - for my business, that is.
Comment by Chris Jones on August 23, 2012 at 6:40pm Hey Corey. Understand where u are coming from. I think maybe the buzz has worn off a bit. People trying to figure out how to use it? Where to invest their time? etc. Saturation with other social destinations could be part of it too.
It's been a few months since you posted; any updates on your thinking?
Chris
