"Social Media and Event Success"
Since 2008 when I first upgraded my Social Networking to include
twitter, one of the biggest attractions to the new platforms for me
has been the ability to quickly tap into an audience whether small
or large, any all walk of life, varying interests or niches and
seeing these clusters take their common interest to new levels of
participation and fanaticism.
The Trade Show industry claims to be one of the original forms of
Social Networking. Well, O.K....exhibitions and trade fairs began
almost 600 years before the birth of Christ with merchants trading
in a "multitude of the kinds of riches with silver, iron, tin and
lead".
Expos and seminars are more popular than ever now satisfying our
societal “Google-education” mindset for instant information. More
and more, we’re seeing businesses adopting models as educators vs.
vendors of traditional products and services. We’re in a “How To/Do
It Yourself” period, and teaching another company or set of
individuals has better margins and referral ROI than what
manufacturers will give you and it brands the “experts” in a any
given field.
From tweetups to festivals, seminars and summits, expos and
conferences – Social Media Marketing is the now “THE” sought
after magic connector to move the audiences that count and keep
them coming back year after year.
Thursday, May 20th, join our special guests:

They’ll be addressing tips, trials and tribulations of
launching, engaging and owning successful events using Social
Media.
I've produced hundreds of trade show exhibits and strategies for
show-goers over the years, so I’ll be participating in my usual
role as moderator but I'll be contributing my two cents on the
topic as well.
Please join me and the rest of Charlotte’s "Social Media explorers"
on May 20 at Mez in the EpiCentre for another informative and
in-depth Social Media Breakfast.
I look forward to seeing you,
