For this session, the ever cool Dave Potts gives us the skinny on shooting and editing video.

Dave is a television and emerging media producer who’s been creating video content for UNC Charlotte for the last six years. He's shot and edited numerous short form promotional and educational projects, and helped create and define an online video presence for the university.

Areas of expertise include shooting, non-linear editing, and video compression. He also stays busy with freelance and part time work. Some of the topics he plans to cover:

About Dave:


"When my head isn’t about to explode from taking on too much responsibility, I really enjoy subjecting myself to the rigors of being a non-traditional student," Dave says. "I’m currently pursuing completion of my bachelor's degree in communication studies/mass media, with a minor in journalism."

He earned an associate’s degree in video production from the Art Institute of Seattle in 1995.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys writing, photography, and being really freaking picky about dance music (if you follow his Tweets, this isn't news).
